ARGO 2022
a visually impaired swimmers device

Argo is an Open Source assistive technology designed to increase the autonomy of visually impaired swimmers.
An assistive technology designed to increase the autonomy of visually impaired swimmers by signalling the tack and orientation in the pool through different vibrations.
This assistive technology is made up of three communicating devices: two positioned at the edge of the pool and one attached to the goggles on the back of the head.
A project made with the help of Sara Labidi and Daniela Bigon during the master’s degree in Product and Communication Design at the IUAV University of Venice.
Thanks to the swimmer Lara Padoan and the Associazione Nuotatori Padovani.
